I’ve always marvelled at yachts and sailing. To me there’s something beautiful about a bow cutting through a wave, a full sail under load or watching the sun drop into the ocean when you’re sat on anchor.
I’ve been back on terra firma now for nearly a month. My land legs have returned, my butt no longer looks like it’s been shot with a blunderbuss and my diving gills have retracted back into my neck…for now.
The road from Palm Cove to Port Douglas follows the coast with some spectacular views out to the Coral Sea,and we are now well into Tropical North Queensland with temperatures at around 30c, but with the air conditioning switched on in our Apollo motorhome it was just right for driving.
