Being a city slicker, it’s easy to forget how beautiful, bright and big the stars are out in the country. We sent Andrew Tallon west to Maidenwell, Condamine and Roma with one mission – to bring us back the beauty of Western Country’s sky.
Under the spotlight of a million stars, here’s what he captured:
This is a story about a boy chasing stars. He drove over 1000 kilometres, from Brisbane to Roma and back, to bring you the sky.
Thousands of twinkling stars showed him the way.
To a spectacular scenery, lit up by nature’s spotlights.
He found a kaleidoscope of light.
And shooting stars became his friend.
He realised the country is just as beautiful at night as it is by day.
Camp fires, cook-offs and country hospitality aided this star-chaser’s mission.
And he experienced all the colours of the Milky Way.
He now knows the real meaning of ‘midnight blue’.
And the majesty of a Southern Queensland Country night sky.
*Andrew was a guest of Nelgai Farm B&B and Telco Farm Holidays.
